Vandrezzer FC striker, Okon Eta Otop has said his side will continue their avowed unbeaten run campaign at Southwest opponents, Osun United.
The Lagos side are guests of the Omoluabi Giants in Saturday’s Nigeria National League (NNL) Southern Conference B1 matchday 4 clash at the Osogbo Township Stadium.
The Lagos outfit who are unbeaten in the three-week old Nigeria’s second tier league shared the spoils with Nnewi United in the last match heading into the matchup on Saturday.
Otop said his side have primed themselves perfectly well to contest for points anywhere the game takes place.
“Normally, we are expecting a positive result from the clash against hosts, Osun United in Osogbo on Saturday.
“We have the mindset of unbeaten run in our heads, that’s our goal at the moment in all our matches.
“So we have this mindset that we can win anywhere so we cannot leave Osogbo without anything positive.
“Now it has become a necessity that we must pick at least a point anywhere we go and that includes the clash at Osun United.
“For me three points is the best thing for the team, we will go for the three points but if we are being given a point fine and good.
“I was once told that if you do not picture a win you cannot get something under the win, if you do not think big you cannot get the average, we are head up high we are thinking big.
“Of course, everybody is thinking the same, the entire camp both those playing and those not playing, everybody’s focus is on one result – positive,” said the former Abia Warriors and Heartland goal poacher.
Otop said his side are expecting good and quality fight from the opponents as the match is another derby encounter.
“Osun United are good side, we respect every side we play with but we mean business.
“Before we get to the pitch we respect every side but we do not joke with our job,” said the former Go-Round marksman.
Vandrezzer FC are fourth on the 12-team NNL Southern Conference B1 group on five points four behind leaders, 3SC.
