Three police officers were shot Sunday during an incident at a home near Austin, Texas, officials said.
The officers with the Cedar Park Police Department have been hospitalized and are in stable condition, according to authorities.
“We are on scene of a shooting where multiple Cedar Park Police Officers have been shot while responding to a call at a home off Natalie Cove,” the police department tweeted at 4:28 p.m. local time.
Police said the suspect was “barricaded inside” the residence after the officers were shot, and has not been caught by authorities.
Police described the situation as an “active scene” and urged residents of the area to stay inside. Cops said officials from multiple law enforcement agencies were at the scene.
Authorities with the city of Cedar Park advised people to stay away from the area of Bagdad Road that runs in between Osage Drive and New Hope Drive.
Police have not released any information about the suspect, nor have they released the nature of the call that the officers responded to at the home.
The identities of the wounded officers have not been released.
Cedar Park is a suburb located about 20 miles north of Austin.
