The Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Club Owners’ Chairmen/Team Managers Association has lauded the Head, NWFL Management Committee, Aisha Falode on the successful conclusion of the NWFL-LaLiga Coaches Online Training Masterclass aimed at taking the coaches in the various women’s clubs in the land to greater heights.
The lively and enriching two-day training programme in partnership with Spanish LaLiga was a step further in the development of the women’s game with the LaLiga women’s league, one of the key points of the MoU signed in 2018 between the NWFL and LaLiga.
The coaches who took part in the exercise have already acknowledged that the programme was eye-catching, eye-opener, and enriching in the whole aspects of women football coaching ethics and techniques.
NWFL Club Owners’ Chairman, Matilda Otuene-Onyiloha who described the training programme as innovative and first of its kind in the history of women football enthused that the experiences garnered by the various coaches will not only serve them well in their respective clubs’ duties but become a reference point on what a modern and technological savvy leadership should be in service to the women league.
“We are completely overwhelmed by the continuous innovative programmes of the NWFL under the technological savvy leadership of Aisha Falode towards the overall growth of the league.
“We cannot thank enough the NWFL leadership under Aisha Falode for always thinking ahead of every other person on the way forward for the league.
“Falode upon her timely arrival to drive the programmes of the women league has always been hitting the news wave with new and enriching programmes one of them is the just concluded NWFL-LaLiga Coaches Online Training Masterclass.
“The programme is truly a ‘masterclass’ and eye-opener to our coaches in the areas of modern football techniques as being attested to by the various participants.
“With this programme and several past ones I’m sure that the women league is on the right path to witness a quantum leap.
“And the gains are the steady growth and rapid development being witnessed yearly in the women league.
“Unarguably, the Nigerian women league is already on same pedestal with other leagues in other advanced lands.
“We will continue to offer fervent prayers and supports to the headship of NWFL as she strives daily with new programmes aimed at further enriching the league,” said the NWFL Club Owners’ helms-woman.
Falode affirmed in her opening speech at the occasion that the women’s league body has the mandate to evolve into a global league brand capable of competing favourably with top women’s leagues across the world.
She expressed her gratitude to LaLiga, most especially to Pedro Malabia, Head of La Liga Women Football and the entire LaLiga team for their help and commitment towards making the training programme a reality.
