Coach Kabir Dogo has said it is the responsibility of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side, Lobi Stars to announce their newest coach for the upcoming 2020/21 top-flight.
The former Nasarawa United gaffer recently and mutually severed links with NPFL side, Sunshine Stars.
It is however strongly rumoured that the amiable tactician is head bound to the Pride of Benue for the new league season.
Dogo however tacitly admitted being partially with Makurdi side but insisted that he is yet to append his signature on any contract paper.
“Well, right now I’m in llorin even though I have had discussions with Lobi Stars on possibility of handling the team for the coming league season.
“So I can say that I’m partially with them until I go back to Makurdi next week to have final discussion with the management.
“It’s when everything has been agreed and signed that I will come out to affirm that I’m fully with the team.
“However, it’s still the responsibility of the club to announce to the public who their coach is and not for me to go about proclaiming myself as their coach.
“It will be nice on my part to have a change of environment and club to further contribute my quota to the development of the game of football.
“Lobi Stars are big and ambitious team and it goes with the challenges and responsibilities.
“I’m happy that my stay at Sunshine Stars ended happily and I want to be happy wherever I go in my future career,” said the former Abubakar Bukola Saraki (ABS) FC coach.
Dogo guided the Owena Waves in the abruptly ended and turbulent 2019/20 NPFL season due to the global flu-like coronavirus crisis.
