Bolus promises to take MFM to higher height

Newly appointed Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) FC head coach, Tony Bolus has promised to take the Church team to a height higher than where he met the top-flights.

The former Giwa FC helmsman was unveiled to the public on Wednesday to take the vacated place of head coach, Fidelis llechukwu who has teamed up with the Owerri side, Heartland.

Bolus said though the height achieved by the erstwhile manager is too high he will dig deep into his wealth of knowledge of the round leather game to further make the side a flourishing and household name in the land.

“MFM FC have a strong structure on ground, we will build on the existing structure. The former coach, Fidelis llechukwu has truly set a high standard we will consolidate, recreate and improve upon it.

“I know the task is daunting but not insurmountable, I equally know that some key players that contributed to the team successes have left to seek greener pastures elsewhere.

“I understand, too that Lagos is not a place where you need to look too far to see raw talent you can groom or turn to a star.

“We have lined up programmes that will help us discover more talents for the side in the coming days.

“Of course, we know that the super stars of today started somewhere or were actually greenhorns of yesterday, we will work on it to ensure we discover the right material for the side’s campaign in the top-flight.

“Actually, I will not say I was handed any specific mandate by the management other than to ensure the side excel in the league but I’m seeing my appointment personally as a challenge to prove my mettle as an ambitious and result oriented coach.

“We are promising the Lagosians the best of football seen elsewhere in MFM FC in the coming season,” said the former Enugu Rangers assistant coach to frontpixs.com.

The Olukoya Boys are among the teams that will be competing for honour in the upcoming 2019/20 Nigeria Professional Football League tentatively due to kick-off in September.
